About the Studio
Hello, my name is Frances, and I am a classically trained dancer in ballet and jazz since 2007. In 2013, I founded my small dance studio out of my parents’ living room and started teaching ballet and jazz technique classes to ages 4 through 12.
In 2017, I moved my studio to North Shore Academy of the Arts in Grafton. Since then, I have started an adult ballet and jazz program, and I have showcased adults and students in multiple performances (e.g. Clara’s Dream, A Nutcracker Story). My mission is to offer positive, character-building classes in a safe and welcoming environment, where all ages can grow and learn to dance.
My dancing background started when I was 12. I started my dancing career by taking an open community ballet class. I quickly fell in love with dance and enrolled into a local dance studio in Sheboygan, where I began to further my education.
- In the summers of 2010 and 2012, I studied at Blue Lake Fine Arts camp under Julie Powell, and in the following year, I was invited back to Blue Lake to participate in their dance ensemble and performance.
- To continue my ballet education, I enrolled at the Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy under Karl Von Rabenau for the 2014-2015 semester. From there, I was accepted into the 4-week Joffrey Ballet NYC program for the summer of 2015.
- From 2017-2019, I taught Jazz and Ballet at Jessica’s School of dance under Jessica Mueller.
- During 2022, I was invited to teach at Studio One under Morgan William, and later that same year, I became a PBT (Progressive Ballet Technique) certified teacher.
